Description of Stolac Canyon

Hidden in the hills near Stolac, this canyon reveals a completely different side of Herzegovina. Crystal clear streams, lush green vegetation and towering limestone cliffs create a landscape that feels almost tropical, far from the dry karst scenery typical for this region.

The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Mostar followed by a 4×4 off road jeep access deep into the hills. This premium access allows us to avoid the long and exhausting hike under the summer sun and reach the canyon comfortably. We are currently the only guides offering this jeep access to the canyon.

After a short and easy walk, the route leads into a hidden oasis of natural pools, small waterfalls and crystal clear water surrounded by peaceful untouched nature.

Moving through the canyon is a relaxed exploration with swimming, walking through shallow water and discovering quiet hidden corners of this beautiful natural oasis.

• Total tour duration: 6–7 hours (including jeep drive and breaks)

• Approach hike: 20 minutes easy walk to the canyon entrance

What to Bring For This Canyoning Adventure

To enjoy the Stolac canyoning experience comfortably, we recommend bringing suitable clothing and a few essential items for outdoor activities.

Please bring:

• sturdy hiking shoes and water shoes with good grip
• swimsuit
• towel
• sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses or hat)
• at least 1 litre of water per person
• small snack or light food

All technical equipment including helmet, life jacket and waterproof bags is provided by your guide. Helmets and life jackets are mandatory for children under 16 years old.
